| Reading the Scriptures |
Sunday Morning – April 12, 2009 (The Resurrection)
People came to the service in anticipation to hear from the Lord. Bro Collins had
3 brothers come up for the scripture reading and the account of the resurrection
was read from all four gospels.

Bro Collins took the
congregation through the events of the resurrection and how
the people had come to the tomb expecting to find a body and instead found an empty
tomb.

After the service, Bro Collins asked the people questions dealing with their position
with the Lord. After having asked a question or two, he stopped and told the story
of how Bro Theo had introduced a young lady to the Lord, and after the story continued with the questions to the congregation.
He then called an individual prayer line. This was a remarkable occurrence as there was no need for a human usher during this time. The people who wished to be prayed
for just stood up one at a time and came forward. There never was a line of more
than one or two people at a time. People stricken the deafness, blindness, asthma
and arthritis, to mention a few things, came to be prayed for. One of the people
in the prayer line was a grandmother who had asked for prayer for her granddaughter
who needed the Lord in her life. The girl came to the front when Bro Collins called
her and he knelt down on before the altar with her and introduced her to the Lord
Jesus.
